Project Overview

The founder of Backpack Bridge requested a bright yellow and navy blue for the primary colors of her nonprofit. A backpack illustration is essential, as the organization provides backpacks and other school materials for children, families and classrooms that are underfunded in the Treasure valley, localized in Mountain Home, Idaho.

The first designer the organization hired disappeared with the organization's marketing budget without providing any design files, or project deliverables. I took on the project for Backpack Bridge as a volunteer opportunity to provide much needed logos and graphics to a wonderful nonprofit.

By th end of the project, a new logo, with and without tagline, as well as business card design, and social media advertising were provided to the organization.

After we finalized the logo concept, I developed different colored backpacks that could be used on social media and could be tiled for use as a patterned background. We also ensured each backpack could go with each season of the year.

After finalizing the logo design, Tamara Mouser, CEO & Founder, and I created a business card that would be professional, but still showed her playful logo and passion for helping educational communities.

Social Media Assets

Using the various colored backpacks, I developed a textured background to use for announcement posts on the various social platforms. Backpack Bridge routinely posts about requests, items needed, fundraiser information, or event details, and by creating these generic post graphics, they'll be able to post easier online.
